I love today’s article at Baseball Prospectus. Anybody who knows me will attest that when I’m not watching, thinking, or writing about movies, that’s probably because a baseball game is on. Today, those worlds collided.
Larry Granillo has positively identified the very real game that Ferris, Cameron, and Sloane attended on their day off, including who hit the foul ball that Ferris caught. This identifies the exact date in time (in movie-land) that the film takes place. Unfortunately, this information comes with a price: the stress on the time-stream Ferris must have caused while squeezing in the rest of the day.
