We’re coming to the end of the John Hughes Project, but first a wee digression.
Ben Martin over at The Movie Advocate asked me to write a guest post about my favorite movie for a series he was doing. I went through a little crisis of faith over this one because my favorite movie is The Exorcist, and how boring, right? I had a nightmare that I would submit my piece and find that two or three other guests may have written about the same film, the blog equivalent of everyone wearing the same red, slinky dress to the prom. Instead, I wrote my piece on one of my old favorites, a movie that I became semi-infamous among my friends for even admitting I liked, much less loved.
And that’s how Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame wound up on The Movie Advocate. Thank you Ben and Justin for indulging me and letting me run loose, and thank you for the kind words about my work. The Movie Advocate is one of my favorite spots for insight and opinion on both new and classic films. These guys rock, and everyone should be reading them as well.
